Life today is stressful for a lot of people. Studies have shown that as many as 1 in 4 of us will experience worry or low mood/depression at some point, so there is a pretty good chance that you, or someone you know well, is currently feeling this way.

The good news is that Talking Matters is a free service funded by the NHS to help you if you are feeling especially down or anxious. And what’s just as important is that you can get help in a way that is convenient for you. You might benefit from seeing someone who can help you, but if that’s not right for you, you can get support over the telephone, or even via the computer – at any time of day or night.

If you’re not sure whether you could benefit from the free help available, click here to access a short survey.

If you live on Teesside and think that maybe you could use a little extra support at the moment with how you’re feeling, give us a ring on this confidential telephone number 0300 330 5470, or if you prefer you can contact us by email at teestm@mentalhealthmatters.co.uk

The service totally free and confidential. And you never know – it might be just what you need to help make life feel that little bit better.
