The Teesside Brighter Futures service provides tailored support to individuals who have a support need living across Teesside. We offer a range of one to one and community-based assistance and activities. Our team of experienced and dedicated Personal Assistants will use their skill, knowledge and expertise to respond to individual need and work alongside other services and organisations to provide a holistic service.
Recognising your strengths, skills and talents, your Personal Assistant will help you to discover and achieve your personal recovery goals whilst regularly reviewing them throughout. As your needs change, your Personal Assistant will continue to provide personalised support and encouragement, helping you to stay well, manage your own needs and sustain your goals.
At Teesside Brighter Futures, we can provide one to one support to suit your needs including:
- Access benefits, housing and other services
- Daily living skills
At Teesside Brighter Futures there are also opportunities to access community based activities and groups such as:
- Drop In/Peer Support
- Arts and Crafts
- Walking Group/Physical Activity
- Healthy Eating
- Educational and Voluntary opportunities
The service charges an hourly rate for one to one support, which is currently set at £11.80 per hour. Group activity costs vary and are available upon request.
Who is this service for?
The Brighter Futures service is for people aged 18 and over living in Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland, who need some ongoing support due to mental health problems. As there is a cost to the service, you must either be in receipt of a Personal Budget or Universal Credit, or able to pay for the service yourself.
How can I access the service?
You can either be referred to the service by your GP or CPN/Social Worker, or refer yourself to the service.

Where are we?
Our regular groups are held at Birkdale Community Centre, Eston, on a Wednesday and Friday:
