Mental Health Matters has several supported housing services, one of which is in Sunderland.
We provide nine bed sits within a core house and 18 furnished flats within the community with staff available 9am until 5pm, Monday until Friday. Outside these hours and on Bank holidays and weekends the MHM Helpline offers a range of support covering emotional wellbeing and any other problems that may occur when your mental health is challenged.
The staff team is a group of males and females who are dedicated to providing support for individuals who are having difficulty coping with mental health illness.
We support people whose support needs vary but may include Physical as well as Mental Health.
We can signpost to varied vocational activities and support people to develop social networks and relationships. We can also support people to do budget planning and seek out answers to benefit enquiries. In one to one sessions we can develop a person’s social and life skills while respecting the needs of differing cultures / spirituality.
We understand everybody needs someone for the day to day things as well as in times of crisis.
