MHM recognise that the future growth and success of our organisation depends largely upon the competencies, skills, knowledge and motivation of all our human resources; i.e. staff, board members, service users, families and friends, volunteers and members. We believe in recognising people’s skills and knowledge and developing people through structured training and development.
MHM is an ‘Investors in People’ organisation. We seek to provide personal training and development opportunities to enhance the competence and motivation of each individual to ensure that our business can continue to meet the needs of people using our services.
All staff at MHM undergo a thorough Induction to the organisation, their particular service and their particular role. This is achieved through various methods including face to face training; online training, shadowing and coaching.
Throughout your career with MHM you will participate in regular appraisal reviews and personal development planning to help you achieve personal growth. The Learning and Development team are committed to ensuring that staff are fully supported throughout their time at MHM.
Providing Training for other Organisations
MHM works to reduce the stigma around mental health and promote a positive image of those affected. We work closely with organisations to ensure that our training is relevant to their workforce needs whilst promoting and understanding a positive approach to the subject matter.
Bespoke training is available to organisations relating to a wide range of mental health and associated issues.
Our most popular sessions cover Mental Health Awareness; Working with People who Self Harm; Personality Disorders and Professional Boundaries.
