Inclusion Matters in Liverpool
Liverpool service news
Inclusion Matters launched its first service in Liverpool in December 2008 which will integrate the steps of IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) with those of MOCAM (Models of Care for Alcohol Miss-users).
Inclusion Matters operates from three main bases in Liverpool which have dedicated therapy space. However the service will be primarily delivered through GP surgeries and other community venues across the city.
Around 60 staff deliver the service, carrying out various interventions including group therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and counselling and helpline services. The staff have been recruited from both NHS and third sector organisations in Liverpool and have been trained in delivering alcohol-focussed interventions. They have also received specialist training in both low and high intensity therapies including CBT.
