The BME Community Development Well Being Service win an award
The BME Community Development Well Being Service for County Durham and Darlington have been awarded a 'Contribution to Health Award' by 'A Taste of Africa'.
The award is for 'Individuals or Organisation in the public sector who have made an outstanding contribution to health within the new communities in the North East'.
The team were delighted to win this award which was presented at an award ceremony at The Wynyard Rooms, Wynyard House in Billingham, on 10th October 2008. The award is a reflection of the fantastic, innovative work that all eight members of the team are involved in and it is also a great achievement for the BME communities across County Durham and Darlington as well as the commissioning Primary Care Trusts and Mental Health Matters.
