Judy Wilson and is the Clinical Director for MHM. Judy has been working for MHM on an interim basis since the beginning of April 2013 and started in the permanent post from 1 July. Judy is delighted to be working for MHM and really looking forward to the challenges ahead. Judy will be working for 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) and will be providing clinical advice and leadership to IAPT services, acting as Caldicott Guardian (safeguarding personal identifiable information for people who use our services and people who work in our services) and working with Coralie Morton, Director of Service Performance, to develop social care services.
Judy’s background is in the NHS, in mental health services in particular. She is a Registered Mental Health Nurse and is also trained in behaviour therapy and cognitive therapy. Judy retired from the NHS in 2012, after nearly 36 years in which she ended up as Chief Executive of two mental health trusts in London. Judy was very keen that any future work she took on was about trying to improve the experience of people who use mental health services and the opportunity to work for a small and different sort of organisation was very attractive.
Judy has personal experience of using primary and secondary care mental health services and likes to ensure that she takes care of her own mental well being. Judy would hope that people who work for MHM would be able to let us know if they are experiencing difficulties with their mental health and she would want to work with HR and management colleagues to help people to continue to work effectively whenever possible.”
